Lafayette Improvement Association

The Lafayette Improvement Association (LIA) is Lafayette’s first and oldest community service organization, founded in 1911.  For the last 100 years LIA has owned the historic Town Hall building at 3535 School Street.  Over the past century, the Town Hall building has served Lafayette well as an enduring icon of community activities and civic pride.  As a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, LIA’s mission is to protect and maintain this wonderful community resource.

Today, we are committed to assuring that Town Hall stands proud for the next 100 years.  To accomplish this, we are campaigning to raise $100,000 to maintain this remarkable community asset.  LIA is a private organization run by unpaid volunteers, and we receive no financial help from the City.  It is up to the community itself to make sure that Town Hall can serve Lafayette into the future.

Our Board of Directors and other early supporters have already contributed one-fourth of our $100,000 goal.  We now invite you to join us in making sure that this jewel of a building continues to shine for future generations.  Your generous contribution is key to making this happen.
