The Lafayette Improvement Association (LIA) is Lafayette’s first and oldest community service organization, founded in 1911. For the last 100 years LIA has owned the historic Town Hall building at 3535 School Street. Over the past century, the Town Hall building has served Lafayette well as an enduring icon of community activities and civic pride. As a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, LIA’s mission is to protect and maintain this wonderful community resource.
The LIA is seeking Lafayette community members who are interested in joining our Board of Directors.
We are in need of board members with fundraising experience, but will consider other community members who want to contribute to the strength of our organization. If you have a strong commitment to preserving the Town Hall as an historic community resource, we want to hear from you!
